Super-easy USB hub and wire storage box.
I used empty toilet paper rolls, hot glue and an old cigar box to make a fashionable desktop wire/charge cable organizer and usb hub.
Simply glue the tp rolls together, then glue them to the bottom of the box, just one dot of glue at the bottom is sufficient. For this box I cut the rolls in half so that they would fit.
If you don’t have a cigar box tall enough I also suggest using a TAZO tea box. If you don’t like whats on a box, but the size is right, don’t be afraid to cover it with Mod Podge and some paper. You can use practically anything from magazine clippings, colored tissue paper, or some fancy scrap booking paper. Just make sure to cover the entire box with at least one coat of Mod Podge once you’re finished, to protect and seal the covering.
I attached the USB hub to the top inside lid of the box with some velcro for easy handling.
This is also a great idea for anyone who has a lot of memory cards or usb drives.
Next week I’ll be building a phone dock using an old cigar box so make sure to “follow” me for more super easy box hacks!
